Design Style: French Colonial

Architect: Anthony Eckelberry (Architectural Design Studio)

Scope of Work: Second story addition and full remodel of first floor.

Description and Details: Anthony took full advantage of the wonderful rolling hills of the neighborhood and beautiful park across the street. The interior of the original single-story home was gutted, leaving only the quarter sawn oak hardwood flooring, which was matched at the new flooring areas. All of the new and existing rooms have beautiful woodwork, including base, case and crown moldings, and built-in custom cabinetry. The wrap around work counter in the kitchen/breakfast areas is made from meticulously matched Tiger grain birch. We were particularly proud of the craftsmanship that went into this piece. The master bedroom suite includes a uniquely designed fireplace with built-in book and TV cabinets, gym, and his and her custom closets. The master bath has a steam shower and Jacuzzi tub. The stonework in the bathroom and throughout the house is exquisite. All of the finishes are true to the design style, including an original claw foot tub on top of a mosaic tile floor with a brick-tile wainscoting. Our greatest respect and affection goes out to our client whose exceptional talent in decorating this house was nothing less than enviable. She made the project a labor of love for all of us.
